Polar Star Films partners with screenwriter Fernanda Rossi in her directorial debut, Influenced, a feature film drama.

Film production begins next week in Barcelona, with shooting on location in the city’s Gothic Quarter and Barceloneta beach. Written with Camila Urioste, Influenced depicts our dilemmas with social media. Essena, played by Olivia Giordana, is an influencer that had enough, and her manager Nuna, played by Maria Caballero, will do whatever it takes to keep her online and producing content.

The film boasts an all-female film crew and will be shot using the latest mobile phone technology, mirroring the influencers the film depicts.  Fernanda Rossi is an internationally renowned writer and has collaborated in more than 500 fiction scripts, documentaries and proposals,  including two Academy Award® nominee films.  Influenced will be her directing debut
