Based on the short story “One of the missing” by the North American writer Ambrose Bierce. France, December 1916. The Battle of Verdun is coming to an end. After a whole year of fighting in the trenches, the French army has forced the Germans to retreat to th North. Finding out if the retreat is for real, is the mission of just a few soldiers. To know its destiny will depend on the simple presence of a black cat. A reflection on the absurd destiny of the war.
