This year, Polar Star Films, in collaboration with the creative agency Flott Projects, was commissioned to conceive and produce the presentation film for the recipient of the 2026 Ankh Award, the most prestigious individual honor in the global copper industry.

Presented annually by The Copper Club since 1962, the Ankh Award recognizes individuals whose leadership, service, and contributions have left a significant mark on the international copper community. The award takes its name from the ankh, the ancient Egyptian symbol associated with copper, and is traditionally presented during the organization’s annual dinner.

The 2026 recipient is Catalan entrepreneur Oriol Guixà, Chairman of the Board of La Farga, in recognition of more than 45 years of dedication and leadership within the industry.

Throughout his career, Guixà has been a pioneer in implementing recycling technologies and circular economy principles long before they became industry standards. Under his leadership, La Farga has advanced energy efficiency and promoted the responsible use of copper as a strategic material for the global energy transition. His commitment to sustainability and his advocacy for copper’s potential to help build a more sustainable future were key factors in this recognition.

The film produced by Polar Star Films and Flott Projects traces Oriol Guixà’s personal and professional journey, highlighting his entrepreneurial vision, innovative spirit, and international impact. Created for screening during the award ceremony, the piece combines personal and professional testimonies, archival materials, and original footage to create an intimate portrait of one of the industry’s most influential figures.

The project marks a new collaboration between Polar Star Films and Flott Projects, further strengthening a shared commitment to creating high-value audiovisual content for institutions, companies, and international events.
