The visually striking documentary takes audiences deep into Southern Galicia, one of Europe\u2019s most wildfire-prone regions, during the hottest summer on record.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Through the perspectives of wild horses, a young cowboy, a fire analyst, an equine vet, and a farming family, <em>Only on Earth<\/em> explores the fragile balance between humans, animals, and a rapidly changing environment. An alumna of <strong>Berlinale Talents<\/strong> and the <strong>Sundance Institute<\/strong>, Petr\u00e9 previously premiered her debut feature-length documentary <em>From the Wild Sea<\/em> in the Berlinale Generation section in 2021. Her short film <em>Pulse<\/em> won a <strong>Silver Dove at DOK Leipzig<\/strong>, and her work has been recognized at festivals worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor as long as I can remember, I have had a strong connection to, and appreciation of, the natural world,\u201d says Petr\u00e9. \u201cYet whenever I return to the rural environment I grew up in, I&#8217;m troubled by how rapidly the landscape has been changing.
