The recently graduated filmmaker decided to make a short film about the plight of the town of Esc\u00f3 and the three siblings.<\/p>\n<p>Synopsis: In 1959, the residents of Esc\u00f3 were forced to abandon their homes when the village was expropriated under Franco\u2019s regime in order to carry out the construction of the Yesa reservoir. The Guallar family refused to leave, and when the brothers were born, Esc\u00f3 was in ruins. Today, the three brothers are still in the village herding their sheep, but things are changing sooner than you think. Esc\u00f3 faces its second threat of disappearance: the construction of a motorway through the Pyrenees that will cross the town and that will end the self-imposed isolation of the brothers. Where will they go next and what will be their final destination?<\/p>\n<p>The IndieLisboa Festival is the most attended cinematographic event in Portugal, known for bringing and promoting international independent cinema to the public.
