This year, both the festival and the\u00a0<strong>Pitching Forum<\/strong>\u00a0focus on individual activism, both social and political, showing films that reveal a world that will not sit down and keep quiet, but a world in transformation. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.polarstarfilms.com\/img\/docsbcnfest.jpg\" \/>Amongst the world &amp; national premieres showing are \u201cFive Days to Dance\u201d (Rafa Mol\u00e9s, Pepe Andreu) and \u201cDemonstration\u201d (Victor Kossakovsky &amp; 32 students) as well as Polar Star Films\u2019 \u201cParrot at the Milkbar\u201d, a documentary film set in Barcelona\u2019s Raval quarter, perhaps the neighbourhood to have suffered the most extensive and radical change in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.polarstarfilms.com\/en\/d_parrot-at-the-milk-bar.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Parrot at the Milkbar<\/a>\u201d, by German director Ines Thomsen and showing in the Official Section on May 31st and June 1st, tells the story of four hairdressers in the Raval, all with customers from the same neighbourhood but of very different nationalities. Each hairdressers is a world apart, almost impenetrable to outsiders. A documentary that submerges itself in the daily life of people who left their home to find a better one, while the Spaniards are about to leave their own country themselves.<\/p>\n<p><strong>InterDocsBarcelona<\/strong>, a special session on\u00a0<strong>interactive documentary<\/strong>\u00a0held for the first time last year, is to be repeated this year with conferences and presentation to discuss new, narrative forms of interactive documentary. DocsBarcelona has two new sections this year: \u201cDOC-U\u201d focussed on university talent and audiovisual production, and \u201cSense Ficci\u00f3\u201d to celebrate 5 years of TV3\u2019s commission slot Sense Ficci\u00f3 which recently screened Polar Star Films\u2019 \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldbrainthefilm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google and the World Brain<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In the non-competition section, Special sessions at DocsBarcelona 2014, \u201cLa tragedia electr\u00f3nica\u201d is showing.
