We are thrilled to share that The Click Trap has been awarded Best Television Documentary at the 12th edition of the ProDocs Awards, recognizing the best in television documentary in Spain 2024!

Directed by Peter Porta and produced by Polar Star Films for RTVE, The Click Trap tackles one of the most urgent issues of our time: the dangerous intersection of disinformation and digital advertising. In an online world fueled by clicks and algorithms, the film uncovers how digital platforms profit from lies, scams, and viral deceit—at the expense of truth.

The award was collected at the closing ceremony of DocsBarcelona by director Peter Porta and producer Carles Brugueras, co-founder of Polar Star Films. It’s a moment of great pride for the entire team behind the documentary, whose hard work, research, and commitment to critical storytelling have been recognized on this important stage.

We’re honored to stand alongside fellow winners “Megamix Brutal”, directed by Rafa de los Arcos and produced by Del Barrio Producciones for Som3cat, La2, and RTVE Play, which received the award for Best Documentary Series. Congratulations to the whole Megamix Brutal team!
