A journey through Catalonia and one goal: to save the Catalan language. With Mònica Glaenzel and Marc Tarrida Aribau.

Ets i uts tells the story of Roger Garcia (Marc Tarrida Aribau) and his aunt, Mònica Glaenzel, as they travel across Catalonia with the aim of saving the Catalan language through twenty reports about it. Roger has managed to sell the project to 3Cat, but he needs Mònica to help him by bringing all her experience in the world of television and… her van.

Along the way, they will run into all kinds of strange characters and surreal situations, facing both external and internal conflicts that will ultimately lead them to discover that the true value of making Ets i uts together is not found in material things, but in the journey they shared.

Ets i uts is a cross-platform concept that blends education and entertainment in a road trip format. Each episode is made up of three complementary pieces:

a 6-minute fiction episode, broadcast on 3Cat and YouTube
a 90-second short report for social media exploring language, culture, and identity
an in-depth interview with an expert or relevant voice addressing the linguistic theme of the episode.

With this innovative format, Ets i uts combines outreach, entertainment, and reflection on the future of the Catalan language, showcasing its vitality through multiple perspectives and platforms.

A 3Cat production with the collaboration of Polar Star Films and SEC Estudi, and with the support of the Catalan Government’s Department of Culture through ICEC. Created by SEC Estudi: Josep Feliu Sánchez, Joan Coll and Kevin Domínguez Álvarez. A cross-platform EVA format with presence on YouTube, Instagram and the 3Cat platform, blending humor, language, and television with a contemporary perspective.
